Helen is delighted to support nsif through her sponsorship of Claire Lomas MBE.
|Introducing Helen Clifford Inspired by nsif patron Claire Lomas’ superbike and flying challenges, Helen Clifford chose to support spinal cord injury research through sponsoring Claire. Not only this, she also chose to sponsor our Christmas Carol Concert, for which we are incredibly grateful. We recently caught up with Helen and asked her a few questions. Read her interview below:|
|We love getting to know our supporters. Tell us a little about yourself. I am a personal injury solicitor and have been acting for clients who have suffered catastrophic injury for 25 years. I am passionate about securing justice and helping my clients to rebuild their lives following serious injury. I am also a health and safety campaigner. |
How did you hear about our patron Claire Lomas and nsif? I met Claire several years ago when she was giving a talk. At that time she was exploring the idea of gaining her motorbike licence. My former firm was sponsoring Talan Racing and I managed that relationship, something I very much enjoyed as I loved watching the team race. Getting to know all the members of the team and hearing their stories was a unique experience and something that helped me when acting for clients with spinal cord injuries.
What inspired you to sponsor Claire and support the charity? It is important to me to be involved in supporting charities that help people to rebuild their lives following injury. Claire and I kept in contact and when she decided to do the laps at the BSB tracks I offered my support. She told me about the work of NSIF. I am delighted to be able to support such a worthwhile charity and would dearly love to see the fantastic work come to fruition in my lifetime.
